A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Salinas, CA, serving a K-12 school setting under a contract for the current school year (CSY). This role involves working closely with school-aged children to assess and treat speech and language disorders, supporting their academic and communicative success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students presenting with speech and language difficulties
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Provide targeted therapy sessions aimed at improving speech and language outcomes
- Monitor, record, and report student progress regularly
- Collaborate effectively with educators, healthcare providers, and other professionals to coordinate care and optimize student support
- Engage families in understanding and supporting speech-language goals
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a multidisciplinary team environment
- Active license approved by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology in California is required
