A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school in San Diego, CA, serving students from transitional kindergarten through 5th grade. This role offers a full-time schedule with a consistent daily routine to support young learners with speech and language goals.
Start Date: August 5, 2024
End Date: June 12, 2025
Hours: 40 hours per week
Daily Schedule: 7:30 AM – 2:15 PM
Caseload: 46 students, including those with Speech IEPs and Mild/Moderate Special Day Class needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech therapy services in alignment with student IEPs
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and monitor progress
- Prepare clear, comprehensive reports and documentation
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with school staff
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) eligible
- Experience working with school-age children, particularly in elementary settings
- Comfort working with diverse populations, including bilingual students (bilingual skills are a plus)
- Willingness to collaborate with Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if applicable
Additional Details:
- No teletherapy or hybrid schedule; all services are provided onsite
- Open to Clinical Fellows and considering SLPA support if needed
