A K-12 school in San Jose, CA, is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLP/SLPA) for the 26/27 school year. This full-time or part-time contract position focuses on supporting students by providing speech and language services critical to their academic success. The role involves replacing virtual SLPs, with no VOCO responsibilities expected.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Documenting and tracking student progress in compliance with school policies
- Providing direct speech and language therapy in a school setting
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification as an SLP with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence), SLP-CFY, or eligibility for SLP licensure
- Experience working in school settings delivering speech therapy services to children in grades K-12
- Ability to conduct evaluations and implement evidence-based intervention strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to work full-time or part-time during the school year
