SLP in San Jose, CA

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
• Current state licensure, or eligibility to obtain licensure, in California
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidates are also encouraged
• Experience with pediatric or school-aged populations is desirable
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive evaluations for students with speech and language disorders
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
• Provide direct therapy sessions focusing on evidence-based speech and language interventions
• Monitor and document progress rigorously, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and practices
• Partner effectively with educators, healthcare professionals, and families for coordinated and holistic care
• Actively engage and educate families to foster consistent support and progress outside of therapy sessions
