A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Santa Barbara, CA, supporting a school setting on a contract basis through the end of the school year, with potential for extension. This role addresses an urgent need for speech services due to a backlog of student support requirements, including providing compensatory speech services to help students meet their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in a school environment, addressing a variety of speech and language disorders.
  • Provide compensatory speech services as mandated to support students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to facilitate student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with school policies and regulatory standards.
  • Support the integration of teletherapy sessions if applicable.
  • Work closely with an assigned Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) provided to support your caseload.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) with relevant experience in pediatrics, school-based therapy, healthcare settings, and teletherapy.
  • Eligibility or current status as a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) certified SLP is welcome.
  • Experience working alongside Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in educational or healthcare environments.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a high volume of student cases effectively.
  • Ability to implement individualized therapy plans while adapting to student needs.

Location: Santa Barbara, CA
