A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support elementary students during a leave of absence. This contract position provides an excellent opportunity to apply specialized skills in a dynamic educational environment, focusing on delivering effective speech and language therapy services to children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students, assessing and treating a variety of communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide communication strategies.
  • Utilize teletherapy techniques as needed to ensure continuity of services.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage caseload efficiently and adapt therapy approaches.

Location: This assignment is based in an elementary school setting in Schenectady, NY.
