A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a contract position within K-12 schools located in Carbon and Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. The role supports speech and language programming across multiple school districts and Early Intervention programs within the intermediate unit, with a commitment of 35 hours per week from ASAP through June 12, 2026 (tentative based on the school calendar).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students in grades K-12
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress records in compliance with district policies and IDEA regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student assessments and evaluations
Qualifications and Experience:
- PDE certification in Speech and Language (Education Specialist/Instructional I level) is required
- Valid Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license is preferred
- ASHA Clinical Competency Certificate (CCC-SLP) is preferred
- Demonstrated experience working in school or Early Intervention settings
- Must provide proof of active licensure upon application
