A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential services in an elementary school setting. This position supports PreK through 6th-grade students, focusing on speech and language development to enhance their educational experience.
Location: Semmes, AL
School Setting: Elementary school
Position Type: Contract (CSY)
Schedule: Onsite, 3 days per week with the possibility of transitioning to full-time
Start Date: January through End of School Year (EOSY)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results.
- Collaborate with educators and parents to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all student interactions and interventions.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), preferably with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) experience.
- Experience working with school-aged children, specifically PreK-6th grade.
- Knowledge of school-based speech-language pathology practices.
- Valid state licensure and eligibility to work in school settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
