A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the remainder of the current school year in a K-8 school setting in Shelbyville, IN. This contract assignment begins on January 5, 2026, and continues through the end of the academic year. The role primarily supports students from PreK to 8th grade, with a focus on PreK through 3rd grade, serving approximately 63 students.
Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapy for speech and language disorders among the student population. The candidate will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and deliver effective treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs. The SLP will work a minimum of 35 hours per week, ensuring compliance with state and school district standards.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Indiana state license for SLP practice
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy within school settings
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environment and caseload management
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status considered
