A K-12 public school district in Shelton, WA is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the 2025-26 school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work directly with students across all grade levels in a supportive educational environment.

Location: Shelton, Washington (Note: nearby opportunity in Rochester, WA, approximately 25 minutes south of Olympia)

Position Type: Full-time contract for the 2025-26 school year (NSY)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide speech and language interventions to K-12 students
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives promoting communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a school setting
  • New graduates completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) will be considered
  • Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in children
  • Ability to work onsite and engage directly with students and school staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
