This opportunity seeks a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services within a K-12 educational setting in Silver Spring, MD. This contract-to-hire position offers the chance to work closely with students across grade levels, supporting their speech and language development and contributing to their overall academic success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or experience as a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate
  • Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment, intervention strategies, and individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, parents, and students

Location: Silver Spring, Maryland

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments for K-12 students
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans targeting communication challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate speech goals into classroom activities
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations
  • Support students’ development of communication skills to enhance academic and social success
