A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to deliver comprehensive support to students across K-12 grades in a Maryland school setting. This role focuses on addressing speech, language, and communication challenges to promote academic success and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed speech and language assessments and evaluations
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to each student’s needs
  • Provide direct speech therapy and consultative services to students
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and interdisciplinary IEP teams to ensure effective communication and progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation and reporting aligned with school and regulatory standards

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Maryland
  • Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric therapy environments preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse student populations and school personnel

Position Details:

  • Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
  • Schedule: 35 hours per week, with 7-hour workdays
  • Duration: Contract for the current school year
  • Caseload: Serving students K-12
  • Work setting: On-site services required
  • Flexible full-time or part-time opportunities available
