A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to deliver comprehensive support to students across K-12 grades in a Maryland school setting. This role focuses on addressing speech, language, and communication challenges to promote academic success and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed speech and language assessments and evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct speech therapy and consultative services to students
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and interdisciplinary IEP teams to ensure effective communication and progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and reporting aligned with school and regulatory standards
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Maryland
- Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Experience in school-based or pediatric therapy environments preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse student populations and school personnel
Position Details:
- Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
- Schedule: 35 hours per week, with 7-hour workdays
- Duration: Contract for the current school year
- Caseload: Serving students K-12
