As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a Maryland K-12 school environment, you will empower students to overcome communication barriers and thrive academically and socially. In this setting, you’ll work collaboratively to support a spectrum of speech, language, and communication needs, using your expertise to create meaningful growth.
What you’ll do:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and speech-language evaluations in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to student needs
- Deliver direct therapy sessions and provide consultative support to teachers and families
- Work alongside educators, families, and multidisciplinary IEP teams to foster student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and stay current with best practices in school-based therapy
What we’re looking for:
- Active Maryland SLP license
- Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) certification, or eligibility to obtain
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is a plus, but not mandatory
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
