A specialized contract position is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support high school students in a unique educational setting designed for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This role offers an opportunity to deliver targeted speech and language services that promote communication and independence.

Location & Duration:

  • Ludlow, MA (assignment based at a high school; client office located in West Springfield)
  • Contract duration: July 6, 2026 – August 7, 2026, with possible extension into the 2026-2027 school year
  • Part-time schedule: 15-20 hours per week, spread over 2-3 days

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services, especially utilizing AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) strategies, with no requirement to conduct AAC evaluations
  • Work within the Compass High Program, a supportive, specialized educational environment for high school students with ASD and learning differences
  • Collaborate with educational staff to build personalized educational approaches fostering communication skills and student independence

Qualifications:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
  • Valid state licensure meeting all necessary requirements to practice in Massachusetts schools
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with high school-aged students
  • Familiarity with AAC methods and their application in therapeutic support
  • Background or experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders or similar learning differences
