A specialized opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with experience in educational and healthcare settings, particularly focused on pediatrics and school environments. This contract position supports students at an elementary school, providing a vital role in communication development within a dynamic school-year schedule.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification and experience as an SLP or SLPA, ideally with a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completed or in progress.
  • Familiarity with pediatric populations in both healthcare and school settings.
  • Knowledge of educational speech therapy protocols and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Credentials such as the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for Speech-Language Pathologists are highly valued.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to work with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals.

Location: Springfield, Missouri – Elementary School Setting

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify students’ needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s goals.
  • Monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including teachers, counselors, and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation as per regulatory and district requirements.
