This role focuses on providing specialized speech-language services to students during a leave of absence, ensuring that each child receives the support they need for effective communication and learning.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech therapy
- Provide direct therapy services to students, fostering their communication skills
- Monitor and document students’ progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
