This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a K-12 school in Sterling Heights, MI, offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to support students’ communication development. The role is a contract position for the entire school year, serving a caseload of 20-30 students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K-12 students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Deliver therapy services to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required.
- Experience working with children in a K-12 school setting preferred.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 20-30 students effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of IDEA regulations and IEP processes.
