Speech Pathology - Plainfield, CT

This is a dynamic opportunity for a dedicated candidate to provide essential support in educational settings for the upcoming school year. This contract position is based in Plainfield, CT, and involves working with elementary and middle school students across two school sites within one campus.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Appropriate state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Experience working in school settings, particularly with children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators and other professionals
• Familiarity with IEPs and the special education process

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ speech and language needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct therapy services to students requiring speech and language support
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure effective intervention strategies
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
• Maintain appropriate records and documentation as required by the school
