A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist position is available in Sykesville, MD, offering an opportunity to provide onsite, full-time services to students within a public school setting. This contract role involves delivering high-quality speech therapy tailored to the unique needs of each student on your caseload, supporting their communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students according to individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including teachers and support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including digital paperwork and progress reports
- Utilize technology efficiently for communication, documentation, and therapy delivery
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Hold ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) with a minimum of 1 year post-CCC experience
- Current active professional license in speech-language pathology
- At least 1 year of IEP-related experience in a school or pediatric setting
- Availability for a minimum of 10 hours per week, with full-time hours available
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Self-motivated with a dedication to positively impact student outcomes
- Comfortable learning and using new software and digital platforms
