A K-12 educational institution in Sylvester, GA is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join their team for the upcoming school year on a contract basis. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive speech and language services to students in a supportive academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s specific needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of student evaluations, treatment plans, and progress.
- Participate in meetings and professional development to stay current with best practices.
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC).
- Experience working with K-12 populations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and related disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt treatment approaches to a school setting and individualized student needs.
