A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide valuable services in a K-12 charter school setting located in Burnsville, MN. This position offers flexibility in service delivery, allowing for both onsite and virtual options to best meet the needs of students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language skills.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Utilize age-appropriate methods and tools to facilitate effective therapy sessions.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to promote students' communication goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a supportive educational environment.
- Stay informed of the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure and ASHA CCC-SLP certification.
- Experience in a school setting preferred, with a focus on K-12 students.
- Proficient in using teletherapy platforms and tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with students and families.
- Flexibility to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs.
