A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide specialized support to high school students within a K-12 educational setting located in Hartford, CT. This contract role spans the entire school year and offers a structured environment focused on delivering targeted speech and language services.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to a caseload of 35 high school students, including 19 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and multiple disabilities
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique communication needs
- Collaborate with paraeducator support staff to optimize therapy outcomes
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies
- Utilize both in-person and teletherapy modalities as appropriate to student needs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience providing therapy in a school setting with K-12 populations
- Competence in delivering teletherapy services effectively
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload, including students with ASD and multiple disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with paraeducators and other educational professionals
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time role requiring a commitment of 37.5 hours per week
- Based in Hartford, CT within a K-12 school environment
- Contract duration aligns with the normal school calendar year
