A full-time opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in teletherapy within a K-12 school setting located in Kenner, LA. This contract role spans the current school year, providing essential teletherapy services to support students' communication development and academic progress.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering telespeech and teletherapy services to K-12 students following individualized education plans.
  • Collaborating with educational staff to assess and address speech and language needs.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations.
  • Utilizing technology effectively to engage students in remote therapeutic sessions.
  • Participating in planning meetings and in-service training as required.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Active Louisiana state license and licensure in candidate’s state of residence.
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) mandatory.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience practicing speech-language pathology in school settings.
  • Proven experience with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery.
  • Successful completion of a technology screening.
  • One professional reference relevant to school-based SLP services.

Work schedule is full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday aligned with the school calendar. Hours include seven-hour workdays with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

This role requires professionalism and adaptability in a virtual educational environment, offering the opportunity to impact student outcomes through specialized teletherapy interventions. Positions are subject to an initial pre-screening process prior to district presentation.
