A full-time opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in teletherapy within a K-12 school setting located in Kenner, LA. This contract role spans the current school year, providing essential teletherapy services to support students' communication development and academic progress.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering telespeech and teletherapy services to K-12 students following individualized education plans.
- Collaborating with educational staff to assess and address speech and language needs.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Utilizing technology effectively to engage students in remote therapeutic sessions.
- Participating in planning meetings and in-service training as required.
Qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active Louisiana state license and licensure in candidate’s state of residence.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) mandatory.
- Minimum of three years’ experience practicing speech-language pathology in school settings.
- Proven experience with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery.
- Successful completion of a technology screening.
- One professional reference relevant to school-based SLP services.
Work schedule is full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday aligned with the school calendar. Hours include seven-hour workdays with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
