An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide valuable services in an elementary school setting. This contract position is ideal for professionals who are passionate about enhancing student communication skills and fostering a positive learning environment for young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students in Pre-K through 2nd grade with speech and language impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of each student.
- Provide direct therapy to support students in improving their speech and language skills, ensuring alignment with their IEP goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to facilitate a cohesive approach to student care and support.
- Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and educational strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid license and certification (CCC-SLP) to practice in the state of Georgia.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students and families.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to a collaborative environment.
