A K-12 school in Texico, NM is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position lasting the full school year. This role focuses on serving school-aged children under the framework of a comprehensive speech-language pathology program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed evaluations of students with speech and language disorders to identify needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student goals
- Provide targeted therapy sessions addressing speech and language development
- Monitor and record progress meticulously for reporting and ongoing care adjustments
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support for each student
- Engage families by educating and involving them in the therapy process
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in New Mexico
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Additional Requirements:
- Active license approved by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology for New Mexico
- Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
