This opportunity seeks a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with credentials including CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence). The role is based in an elementary school setting located in Trussville, AL, with a contract duration covering the current school year (CSY).
Key responsibilities include providing speech-language therapy services to a caseload of students distributed between two schools: approximately 15 students at the intermediate school and 4 students at the elementary school. The work schedule consists of roughly 20 hours per week, structured as two full days at the intermediate school and a half day at the elementary school.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP certification/license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and educational staff
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and provide therapy to students
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings and related documentation
