An opportunity exists for a skilled professional to provide essential speech-language pathology services within an elementary school setting. This role is vital in supporting the communication needs of students, ensuring that each child receives the guidance and resources necessary for their development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify students’ speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech and language services.
- Provide direct therapy to students with communication disorders in accordance with their IEPs.
- Monitor and document students’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with educational staff to facilitate effective communication strategies in the classroom.
- Engage with families to support their children’s communication goals and provide resources.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
