A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for the upcoming school year at an elementary school serving students in grades K-4. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide essential services to young learners in a supportive educational environment.
Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students referred by educators and families. The role requires developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals and therapy plans that comply with all relevant federal, state, and district guidelines. Providing direct speech and language therapy in both individual and small-group settings is a core aspect of this position, alongside collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to seamlessly incorporate speech-language goals into the classroom setting. Maintaining accurate documentation, progress reports, and participating in IEP meetings and parent conferences are essential duties. Additionally, supporting students with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs will be part of the role when appropriate.
Qualifications sought for this position include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and a valid state SLP license and/or Department of Education certification. Candidates must also hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the appropriate accrediting body.
