An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to provide critical speech-language pathology services in an elementary school setting. This contract position is located in Van Hornesville, NY, for the entirety of the school year, focusing on supporting the communication needs of students.
Qualifications:
- Valid license in Speech-Language Pathology
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Location:
- Van Hornesville, NY
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech-language services
- Provide direct therapy to students with identified speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development
- Monitor and document students' progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive educational environment
