Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Ventura, California

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed on a contract basis through the end of the school year, with potential for extension. This role supports student services impacted by a backlog, providing compensatory speech services to help students meet their communication goals.

Key qualifications and experience:

• SLP with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
• Experience in healthcare and pediatric settings a plus
• Teletherapy experience beneficial but not required
• Eligible candidates include SLPs in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or licensed SLPAs with school or healthcare experience
• Ability to deliver compensatory speech services efficiently in a school environment
• Willingness to collaborate as an essential part of the student services team

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students requiring compensatory support
• Communicate effectively with educators, families, and other related service providers
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state requirements
• Collaborate with assigned SLPA (which can be provided if you have one) to support service delivery
• Adapt therapy approaches to meet individual student needs, including in-person and teletherapy as appropriate
