A K-12 school in Walled Lake, MI, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position during the current school year (CSY). This role focuses on providing speech-language services primarily to elementary students in grades K-5, managing a caseload of approximately 45-55 students.
Key qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Eligibility or current licensure for SLP practice within schools (SLP-School)
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with students, parents, and educators
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized speech and language therapy to students in grades K-5
- Conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and tracking progress
- Collaborating with teachers and school staff to support student communication goals
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation compliant with school policies
Work schedule aligns with the elementary school day, from 8:50 a.m. to 4:10 p.m., allowing for direct instruction and collaboration during regular hours.
