Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Warren, Michigan
Position Overview: We're in search of a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team, focusing on serving K-12 students. In this role, you'll be instrumental in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a diverse range of communication and swallowing disorders among school-aged children. From helping young students with their early speech development to assisting adolescents with communication challenges, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their lives through personalized care and innovative therapy techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough evaluations to identify speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in K-12 students.
- Develop tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each student, collaborating closely with teachers and other educational professionals.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams within the school environment to ensure comprehensive care for students.
- Regularly monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes for students' academic and social success.
- Empower students and their families with practical strategies and techniques to support communication and swallowing function in daily academic and social activities.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or eligibility for certification.
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility for licensure.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a K-12 setting.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a school-based multidisciplinary team environment.
