This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position serves a K-12 school in Washington, DC, offering a comprehensive role with a mixed caseload. The role is a contract position for the current school year, providing an opportunity to apply clinical expertise in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver full speech-language pathology services to students across grades K-12
- Manage a varied caseload addressing articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, provide diagnostic evaluations, and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches to student success
- Maintain compliance with relevant state and federal regulations
Desired Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Bilingual proficiency required to meet the needs of a diverse student population
- Experience working with school-age children in K-12 settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a mixed caseload effectively
- On-site presence mandatory for now
