A K-12 school in Watsonville, CA is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position during the current school year. This role focuses on providing comprehensive speech and language services within an educational setting, supporting pediatric and school-aged students to meet their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide targeted therapy sessions addressing speech and language objectives
  • Monitor, document, and track student progress with detailed records
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including educators and other specialists
  • Communicate and engage with families to promote understanding and participation in therapy

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice in California
  • Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Active license approved by the state board in Speech-Language Pathology
