A K-12 school in Watsonville, CA is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position during the current school year. This role focuses on providing comprehensive speech and language services within an educational setting, supporting pediatric and school-aged students to meet their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide targeted therapy sessions addressing speech and language objectives
- Monitor, document, and track student progress with detailed records
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including educators and other specialists
- Communicate and engage with families to promote understanding and participation in therapy
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice in California
- Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Active license approved by the state board in Speech-Language Pathology
