A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated professional in an engaging elementary school setting located in Des Plaines, IL. This role focuses on providing essential speech-language services to students, fostering their communication skills and overall development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or be eligible to obtain one.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a school setting.
  • Ability to adapt and collaborate within a team to meet diverse student needs.

Location:

  • Des Plaines, IL
  • Contract position in an elementary school environment.
  • 37.5 hours per week, with the school year running from August 2025 to May 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students’ speech and language needs through diagnostic testing.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), setting clear objectives and accommodations.
  • Provide direct support to students, helping them engage in classroom activities and develop essential skills.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive assessment reports and progress documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and support staff to promote students’ communication development.
