A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support elementary students in a school setting. This contract position runs from January 5, 2026, through June 1, 2026, providing essential speech and language services during the current school year.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments for elementary-aged students
- Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Documenting therapy goals and maintaining accurate records
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to student success plans
Qualifications:
- Certification as an SLP with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
- Eligible for or currently holding an SLP - CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) status is acceptable
- Experience working in school environments, especially with elementary students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with children and staff
- Ability to manage time effectively within the school day schedule
Location and Schedule:
- Elementary school setting in Waukegan, IL
- Contract position for the remainder of the school year (CSY)
- Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week
