A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school in West Chester, PA for the remainder of the current school year. This contract role begins in mid-March and concludes at the end of the school year, with an option to continue through the Extended School Year (ESY) program. The workload is approximately 37.5 hours per week, serving a diverse K-5 student caseload.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Providing direct therapy services to students with a variety of speech and language challenges
- Addressing needs ranging from general speech concerns to Autism spectrum and Life Skills support
- Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student progress and outcomes
Ideal candidates will have:
- Certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, especially grades K through 5
- Expertise in speech disorders along with therapeutic strategies for Autism and Life Skills populations
- Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
- The ability to manage a diverse caseload within one school setting effectively
