Speech Therapist in West Winfield, NY

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school located in West Winfield, NY. This contract-to-hire position offers the chance to provide essential speech therapy services during regular school hours, supporting students with speech improvement needs and participating in CSE meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language pathology services to elementary students identified for speech improvement.
• Collaborate with the Committee on Special Education (CSE) to develop and implement individualized education plans.
• Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
• Work alongside educators and support staff to integrate speech services effectively within the school day.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid SLP certification and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are required.
• Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children, preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, parents, and school personnel.
• Ability to manage caseload effectively within designated school hours.

Schedule and Location:

• Services are provided at the elementary school.
• Work schedule runs from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, totaling 32.5 hours per week.
