A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide services in an elementary school setting serving students in grades K-4. This contract position spans the full school year and is based in Wichita, KS.
In this role, the SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders among students. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support each student’s academic progress and social engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for referred students.
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and treatment plans compliant with federal, state, and local guidelines.
- Deliver direct speech therapy services individually and in small groups.
- Collaborate with educators and families to integrate speech-language objectives into classroom activities.
- Maintain thorough documentation, records, and timely reports on student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions.
- Provide support for students requiring augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as an SLP and/or Department of Education certification.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
