An opportunity awaits for a skilled professional specializing in speech-language pathology within a dynamic K-12 school setting. This contract position is based in Lakeland, FL, where you will play a crucial role in supporting students with speech and language disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student.
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions focused on achieving specific speech and language goals.
- Monitor and document student progress meticulously to ensure effective interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated care and support.
- Involve and educate families in the therapy process, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Preference for those holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff and families.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
