An opportunity exists for a skilled professional in a supportive elementary school environment. This role is designed for a dedicated individual ready to contribute to the development and communication needs of students. The position is full-time, focused on fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere from ASAP until June 5, 2025.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Proficient in assessment and therapeutic techniques for speech and language disorders
Location:
- Flushing, NY
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP requirements
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language impairments
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Monitor and document student progress and modify treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in school meetings and professional development opportunities
