This position offers an opportunity for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work within an elementary school setting in Ypsilanti, MI. The role focuses on providing specialized speech and language support to elementary-aged students, helping them improve communication skills essential for academic success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments for students.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure consistent progress.
  • Providing direct therapy services two days per week in person.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with school and district policies.

Qualifications and experience preferred:

  • Valid SLP certification for school settings.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, specifically in educational environments.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is an advantage.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a school team.

Location and schedule:

  • Position based in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
  • Part-time, 2 days per week.
  • In-person work preferred to facilitate direct student interaction.
  • Contract duration aligns with the current school year (CSY).
