Speech & Language Pathology Assistant in Channahon, IL

This full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a K-12 educational setting supporting students in an autism program. Located in Channahon, IL, this contract role runs from ASAP through the end of the school year. The successful candidate will provide valuable assistance to speech-language pathologists in helping students improve their communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans for students with autism
• Assist with speech therapy sessions and documentation
• Monitor student progress and report observations to the supervising clinician
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to enhance student outcomes
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards

Qualifications and Experience:

• Prior experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, preferably in a school or autism program setting
• Knowledge of K-12 speech therapy techniques and strategies
• Ability to work effectively with children with autism and other communication disorders
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Current certification or licensure as required by the state
