Located in Duncan, OK, this contract opportunity for a School-Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant offers a rewarding environment to support K-12 students throughout the school year. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field qualifying for SLPA licensure
- Current state licensure or eligibility as an SLPA
- Experience working with children; school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Program (IEP) procedures and relevant educational regulations
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech and language abilities and assist in developing individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct therapy services targeting speech, language, fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement classroom accommodations
- Monitor and document student progress, modifying therapy plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings to contribute toward meaningful goal setting
- Provide resources and guidance to parents and caregivers to support student development
