The role is contract-based, spanning the current school year (CSY), with an immediate start and continuing through the end of the school year (EOSY). The position requires approximately 20 hours per week, ideal for professionals seeking to contribute meaningfully to student speech and language development on a part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist certified speech-language pathologists in implementing therapy plans for students with communication disorders.
- Conduct speech and language screenings and support individual and group therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and assist with the preparation of reports.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals.
- Ensure all activities comply with school policies and state regulations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working as an SLPA in a school environment, preferably K-12.
- Knowledge of speech-language pathology techniques and educational best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow established therapy plans.
- Relevant certification or licensure as an SLPA is required.
