A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with prior school experience is needed to provide support in an elementary school setting, focusing on pre-kindergarten and grades 3 through 5. This contract opportunity is located in Fort Walton Beach, FL, with a commitment through the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement speech and language therapy services for students in pre-kindergarten and grades 3 to 5.
- Collaborate with educators and parents to support student communication development.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Adapt and modify therapy approaches to meet the individual needs of students.
- Provide coverage during a maternity leave period from mid-March through the end of the school year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid credential as an SLP or SLPA with previous experience in a school environment.
- Strong understanding of speech-language development in young children.
