A contracted Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available to support a K-12 school setting in Fremont, CA, covering a maternity leave from October 20 through June 5. This position involves working across multiple school sites, providing essential speech and language support to students.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language assistance under the supervision of certified speech-language pathologists.
- Serving students at two elementary schools, two days per week at each site.
- Providing services at one middle school, one day per week.
- Collaborating with school staff to support student communication goals.
- Maintaining detailed records to monitor student progress.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
- Valid SLPA certification or eligibility.
- Prior experience working in a school environment, preferably with K-12 students.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently across multiple locations.
Location:
- Fremont, CA
- Schedule involves 7 hours per day distributed between three school sites throughout the week.
