An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students within a K-12 educational setting in Grady, NM. This role is a contract position for the full school year, providing direct and indirect services in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to students as outlined in IEPs.
  • Collaborate effectively with school staff and parents, maintaining clear communication especially during high-stress or crisis situations.
  • Travel between multiple school sites during the workday as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in planning to support student progress.
  • Provide onsite services only; virtual work is not available for this position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications or an Associate of Applied Science degree from an SLPA program.
  • Current and active SLPA certification.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills essential for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to adapt and work across multiple school locations.
