This position offers an opportunity to support students across K-12 in a vibrant school setting located in Moreno Valley, CA. The role involves working at two distinct school sites, each serving unique student needs within Special Education programs.

Location: Moreno Valley, California
Assignment Duration: Contract through 6/5/2026
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: 32.5 hours per week, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch
Sites:

  • French Valley Elementary
  • Margarita Middle School

Both schools support students with Moderate to Severe Autism in a mixture of Resource Specialist Programs (RSP) and Special Day Classes (SDC). You will collaborate closely with experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) who have established strong relationships within these programs, providing a supportive professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services to K-12 students with a range of communication disorders, including those on the autism spectrum.
  • Implement individualized plans tailored to students’ goals within RSP and SDC settings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and special education staff, to enhance student outcomes.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed.
  • Participate in training and team meetings to maintain best practices and compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
  • Experience supporting students with moderate to severe autism in school-based settings.
  • Familiarity with RSP and SDC classroom environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage caseload across multiple locations efficiently.
