Seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for an elementary school setting to support speech-language services. The position involves assisting in assessments and therapy, with a focus on English/Spanish bilingual services, helping to alleviate overflow from the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Schedule: 30 hours per week, full-time
Duration: ASAP through End of School Year (EOSY)
Contract type: School Year (NSY)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct bilingual English/Spanish speech and language assessments under the supervision of the SLP
- Provide direct therapy services to students in need of speech-language support
- Assist in managing caseload overflow to ensure timely and effective intervention
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the SLP to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification or licensure as required by the state
- Experience conducting bilingual assessments in English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a school environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
